The following materials and tools are needed to build sparrow bird house plans:

• a board with dimensions 1500 mm (length), 150 mm (width) and 20 mm (thickness);
• screws 4×45 mm 14 pcs (you can find right screws depending on the thickness of the material. You can get the right screw diameter by dividing the material thickness by 5 (20 mm : 5 = 4 mm), and the right length by multiplying the material thickness by 2.25 (20 mm x 2.25 = 45 mm);
• a drill bit for drilling 4 mm diameter holes for screws;
• a drill bit for drilling 44 mm diameter entrance hole;
• a saw. Ideally an electric saw for precise and straight cuts. (When using an electric saw, be sure to read the instruction manual and wear safety equipment: goggles, gloves and, if necessary, a respirator.);
• a cordless drill or electric drill for screwdriving and drilling holes;
• a pencil for marking.

Cut out the details as shown in the figure and write down what these details are to avoid confusion later.

Mark the screw holes and drill holes in the bottom, roof and back wall pieces. The drill hole should be the same diameter as the screw you use to assemble the birdhouse. The holes are needed to prevent cracking and breaking of the material. Drill the entrance hole.

Place the sides in the correct positions as shown in the illustration. The wall with the opening can be either on the left or right side of the birdhouse.

Attach the bottom and roof.

You can paint the outside of the birdhouse with wood preserver or outdoor paint (but definitely use water based wood preserver or paint). The end result should look like this.
